Maldives

Hi, For this year's vacation, we decided to change from our regular destinations and big capital cities to a place where there's no shopping! A place of beauty and relaxation. We choose Maldives.

All of our booking was done through Emirates holidays. The passengers were me, my brother @bowaleed263, my aunti, my friend and her brother @muswag. It was more of a friends gathering or getaway. (Tip: if you're not on a honeymoon, take young, fun and funny people who are willing to try everything, its all in the company).

First off, we took off from Kuwait and arrived at Dubai International Airport. It was my first time travelling on Emirates Airlines, I liked that they were prompt and on time. I also loved their terminal.

Dinner is served, don't ask me why? I just like taking pics of the meals.

At our Transit, this board was very useful. It tells you how far the gate is from where you stand. We read it, but still ended up running in the end! We didn't expect the gate to be that far. We took a train and escalators up and down, anyway, it was funnny how we ran to the gate. A bit of action is always needed.

On the plane, to Male. The duration to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport was 3 hours 40 minutes.

Breakfast is served. I may as well eat cos I didn't sleep at all on the plane. I was separated from my brother and just hated my place. I sat next to a foreigner and his son, who was sleeping on my shoulder the whole trip, thinking I was his mum!

Gladly we arrived. The airport is like nothing you have seen before. Its small and its open and has a port for all the hotel boats. We were greeted by a hotel representative, who showed us the way to our ride. The mean of transportation there is of course, by boat. The boat was big and we were the only ones on it. They gave us fresh towels and cold drinks.

It took us 10 minutes to get to our hotel.

 Welcome to Kurumba Hotel.

 Coconut ice-cream anyone?

This is the lobby area. The reception is very spacious and open. (Nevermind the wheelchair, I get motin sickness sometimes.)

 Outside the Lobby.

And this is our room, a deluxe beach view.

 The outside of our room.

To be Continued........(part 1)
