Last friday, my family and I went to try out this new Kuwaiti restaurant in AlSouq in the Avenues.
The restaurant was purily my grandma's choice. she loves anything Kuwaiti and everything old.
Do you know what Kashouna is? I honestly didn't. Its actually what they used to put the rice in.
And this is what it looks like.
The restaurant is located in Pearl Street.
I personly liked the atmosphere and the decor.
Can you spot the tiny vintage quality street box?
The chandelier is gorgeous.
This is the seating area.
And this is their menu
And this is our order:
Chicken Machboos
Meat Machboos
Motabag Zbaidi
Since its Kuwaiti food, it needs to be served with tirshi.
I liked the chicken and the rice from the fish was tasty.
Last but not least, we order the Kashouna fondue with tea and coffee.
We enjoyed our time at the restaurant and it was our pleasure to meet the owners. They were all very friendly and attentive to their customers. They were there the whole time, seating customers and helping out. I wish them the best. Give it a try, why don't you. And my advice, take your mums.
On that day, we were totally old from head to toe loool. My cousin omar went to a dukan right next to the restaurant and even bought this!

The sweets and goodies on display in front of the open kitchen.
The chef in the backgroud is making the best bread ever. They have a separate menu for the types of tanour bread and the differnt toppings.
