Going nuts for Hazelnut House

Hi. Since I have an addiction for chocolate and the curiosity to try new places in Kuwait, I went to Hazelnut House located at Kipco Tower.

Its a small cafe with the cutest interior ever. I loved the fact that they encourage people to read more by putting shelves with a lovely collection of books that one can borrow as he/she enjoys their dessert and coffee.

This is the view from our table.

As we entered, we were welcomed with a very friendly waiter. He gave us the menus and he recommended we try the following dishes because it was hard to choose from the wide variety of desserts.

This is the Nutella Molten Cake. It was so good, it makes you smile. The molten cake was very soft and goowy and the inside was filled with nutella.

My order was the Cookie Cup which is their signature dish. You can choose your sauce to fill it with: white or milk chocolate. I went for sweet milk chocolate. The waiter comes and pours the chocolate sauce for you. It was amazing. I loved it because it was like a 2-in-1: a fondue with berries and a cookie. I'm officially the cookie princess (not monster! ;))

The way they offered the bill was also cute and creative. I thought the price of the food and service was reasonable.

Thank you @hazelnut_house for existing in this world. I plan on coming again because I have to try the rest of the menu.

Tea Time Lounge

Hi I recently went with my friend @_amj_ for lunch to a cafe at KIPCO Tower called The Tea Time Lounge.
We wanted to try some place new so we picked this cafe.

As I entered, I said Hi to the staff, but I was not greeted so well. The staff stood at the counter and just looked at me. I went in and picked a table and called them and said "a table for two please". She replied sit maam. To me this was unhospitable.

My friend arrived and we sat and asked for the menus. This is the menu.

An Ipad is always preferred because I like to see the dishes that I order. When we ordered a fellow waitor came to take our orders and for some reason he was in a bad mood. My friend asked him if he's ok, then he starting laughing and being friendly.

For the salad, we ordered the eggplant and mozzarella cheese salad with some balsamic vinegar. It was ok.
They served our main course straight after and we didn't eat the salad, because we didn't want our dishes to be cold when we eat them.

My lulu had two small dishes, one mac and cheese with mushroom. The other dish was a vegetable casserole in the oven. I liked the mac and cheese, but the other was a bit spicy for me.

My order was the pink pasta which was very yummy. I added the chicken to the dish.

What I loved about the place is their plates and decor. And most importantly the quite atmosphere. We were the only table and we enjoyed our time talking and laughing.

The price of the food was reasonably. I recommend you try the place and have a relaxing afternoon tea.

Society By Supreme

Hi! I know I've been absent for awhile, but I was looking for something worthwhile to post for you guys.

Yesterday my family and I tried out a new restaurant called Society at Levels Complex  in Mahboula. It is owned by the people of Cafe Supreme.

This is their outdoor seating area.

And the inside was very cozy.

 I loved their modern decor.

And the British details like the cushions and red phone booth make your fantasize about London.

They have a variety of freshly baked goodies that you could choose from like cakes and muffins.

We went for brunch and this was what we ordered.

I enjoyed reading their menu because it was like a magazine in style and format. Having pictures of the dishes is always a plus for me.

The Caprese Salad with fresh mozzarella was yummy.

 The Vegetable Omlette was nice.

Egg and cheese Croissant was delicious and very cheesy which I love.

My dad have the Eggs Benedict with spinach and turkey which he liked (only I do not have a picture of it)

For my sweet tooth, I tried the French toast. It was not bad, but not the best I've had.

And the oreo cheesecake was amazing.

Overall, we enjoyed the experience. The food was nice and the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. If you would ask me if i will come back?
Without a doubt yes.

Thank you Society.
Wish you the best of luck

The luxurious Eight Restaurant

Hi, recently I dinned out with my friend and we decided to try out a new diner. We picked Eight, which is an elegant and luxurious Italian yet International restaurant.
It is located in Al-Ghawali Complex, opposite Al-Raya Mall.

And this is the place. You could see it from the traffic light infront of Al-Raya Mall. Don't worry about parking space, cos they have valet parking service.

This is the place from the inside. A very cozy and neat interior.

It is also quiet romantic for couples looking to avoid crowded and noisy malls.

Of course, we decided to sit outdoors because the weather are lovely that night.

A Glimpse of their menu.

For starters, we ordered a Chicken Caesar salad, which I loved. The dressing was perfect and the lettuce was cut nicely. (I hate restaurants that serve big sized veges, like how do you eat that? Some consideration for the people with tiny mouths please or who are trying to look nice in public loool).

This dish is sweet potato, and was truly yummy. The sauce was nice and the presentation was excellent.

This is grilled chicken with a bree cheese sauce. A dish I recommend because the chicken was tender and cooked to perfection.

I can't remember the name of this dish, but it was eggplant on some baguette. This was nice for eggplant lovers.

For an main course, we tried the pink pasta, but it was ok. Not so great as I expected.

We ordered three types of dessert. The first is the icecream on a sheet of pastry. I didn't like their vanilla icecream so much.

My favourite was the warm fondant. You can't go wrong with that.

And last but not least, the chocolate shot. My friend enjoyed that, it was sweet and tasted like chocolate and caramel shot.

At the end, we ordered a padlock and they gave us markers to write our notes to remember that night.

The gesture to have the padlock wall was very thoughtful, it makes the place stick in mind and the experience more personal and close to heart.

Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The service was great and the waiters helped us order their most popular dishes and they were very attentive to our needs.
The price of the food was reasonable and I love the idea of a padlock wall.
Thank you for a great dinning experience and we wish you all the best.

The New Ninos

Hi, My family and I went go for lunch last weekend and we choose the New Ninos at Arabella, which is a new venue for hip restaurants and cafes. It is located in Al-Bidaa seafront. The weather was so amazing and we sat outside.

Nino is the ony restaurant alongside the beach, which is the best location of all restaurants that are there, in my opinion.

They have plenty of heater all around, so don't worry about feeling cold.

Because it was the weekend, the place was quite full, so come early to get a good table.

What is also nice is that it overlook the Boom, which my grandma enjoyed and began telling stories about our ancestors.

For starters, I ordered the Confit chicken and avocado salad. This salad is new on the menu and I like to try new things. I loved it and the dressing was nice and the pomegranate added some sweetness to it.

I don't remember the name of the dish, but the shrimp was yummy and crunchy.

You can tell we love seafood, because you can't go wrong with ordering shrimp, I guess!

I on the other hand had chicken liver and it was fried but really  nice.

This dish is the pretzel chicken sliders and it was on the starters menu, but I wanted it as my main course.
I enjoyed it, but I would have liked to have French fries on the side.

The atmosphere was refreshing and quite. If you haven't been there yet, I recommend you check it out.
